My Gaming Career

Here is some history about how I started gaming and what i have accomplished within my gaming career. I started off playing games when i was really young. Me and my friend would play all sorts of games on different systems like super nintendo, playstation, and N64. Mostly we would play the story modes of the games, but when a multiplayer mode was available, we would play that. He was always really good and a difficult player to beat, but i learned very quickly and soon was at his level.

Super Smash Brothers was the first game i played multiplayer on that i knew i was good at, because i would play against all sorts of kids at this sort of day care thing and never lose. Then some time past, but i was still playing lots of games with my friends spending hours of my time trying to get better so i would win more. So eventually i talked my dad into getting me a ps2, and boy was i happy. It was great i wold find myself and my brother playing games all day after school. You could say that i was a nerd, but considering that i grew up at a place where i had no neighbors and my class at school had 11 people in it, I would say i was just a kid having a good time.

Soon after that i got enough money to get an online adaptor for my playstaion. This was a huge step in my competitive gaming career. I still had dial-up internet though so i didn't get to play online much, but i still have some good memories. The game i played mostly was Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4, which i still think to this day has the best sound track of any game. Anyways, that was where i found some really elite players, i mean these people could pull off the impossible. They could do tricks that i couldn't even perform a fraction of, but that only made me want to be better. So i would train and train until i could do everything perfectly. This took a while, but during that time and important thing happend to me. I discoverd my Gamer Tag which is Sixpiece. This made me happy that i finally had a cool name that no one else in the world had.

Some more time past and my family finally upgraded to DSL, :) i was so happy that now i could play those games that required a broadband connection. Then one my friends told me about Socom II, which is one of the most addicting games i've ever played. I would play it online for hours until i was to the point where i was the MVP of every match. Then some one said to me, "Hey your pretty good you wanna be on my gamebattles team." I said sure. Then he told me about the web site and what i needed to do to get started. Soon after that i experienced my first Clan Team Match. It sure was awesome, the other team had alot of skilled players, as so did we. I think we ended up winning our first match, I can't really remember, but I had alot of matches ahead of me after that point.

I ended up doing very well at that game, but i didn't keep up with the stats. After that i moved on to other games like Socom 3, Killzone, THUG, but those were just some of the online games. I was also playing games on the gamecube, and many offline games on the PS2. Then around that time i got into some PC shooters as well. Quake 3 Arena to be exact. Which is where i won the first competition i had ever been in for money. I was so happy. Later on after that with many other games being played I played Area 51 for ps2. This was a huge step for me in competitive gaming, because i was the best player on the best team. I think we ended up beating the #2 team in the playoffs in CTF(capture the flag) 10-0, so we had our stuff together.

After that the next game i was at the top of was MGO(Metal Gear Online)Never really got a team together, but that was my friend's(from earlier) favorite game. So we played it together online and stomped everyone. I told him we were going to make a Doubles team on the GB ladder, and he was like sure. So we did, and quickly came to be the top undefeated team on the ladder. That was a great experience. After that I took about 4 months off from gaming to just get my life and my cash flow going.

I ended up wanting to come back into gaming hardcore when i raised enough money to get an Xbox 360, I was so excited, the first game i got was shadowrun, which is a fantastic game. I really wanted this to be the next game i was big at. I think i was 17 at that time, when i found myself on a top team on the ladder. Then i heard from Bucko that MLG was going to have a tournament for this game, and i was pumped; being a starter on our top team. We got some kind of website sponsorship to pay for credits, but sadly i could not go to the event where it was to far away and my mother wouldn't let me go by myself. Time has went on since then and i have been playing many many games. Hoping that one day i can go to an MLG event and show the world who Sixpiece is...

My PSN is MLG_Sixpiece
